What types of programs are offered?
Elevate Miami offers a variety of programs that address the digital divide among all age groups of our community:

  1. Children - Computer lab hours provided in City of Miami ePark facilities with a focus on Internet and computer safety, email and homework assistance.
  2. Adults (ages 18 to 55) - Computer lab hours provided in City of Miami ePark facilities and free computer classes located at various Technology Learning Centers.
  3. Seniors (ages 55 and over) - Computer lab hours provided in City of Miami ePark and eSenior facilities along with free computer classes designed specifically with seniors in mind.
  4. Small Businesses - Assistance provided in building the capacity of technology use among small businesses including how to design websites and low-cost technology packages.

Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost to participate. The open lab hours and formal training programs are provided at no cost to the community.

How do I sign up?
If you would like to participate in any of the open labs or ePark locations all you need to do is look at the schedule and find the most convenient location for you. See our Calendar of Events for class times and locations.

What locations provide training classes?
We offer open lab hours and free computer classes at a variety of eParks and senior citizen locations throughout the City of Miami. Click here for more information.

Is there transportation provided to the learning centers?
No, transportation is not available to our technology learning centers or ePark facilities at this time. 

Are there programs available for school children?
Each of the ePark locations provides access to computers/Internet for children enrolled in the parks' After-School program (where available).  Click here for information on the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department.

How can I register my child to receive a free computer?
Elevate Miami's Rites of Passage program is available to 6th grade students attending any Title I public school within the City of Miami.  For general information on the Rites of Passage program, and our partnership with the Miami-Dade County Public School District, click here.  For more information, please contact your child's school to see if they participate in the program.

How do I donate computer equipment to assist the Elevate Miami project?
Elevate Miami is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, facilitated by the Dade Community Foundation, and able to accept tax-deductible computer hardware and software donations.  If you or your organization is interested in donating computer equipment, please send an email to elevatemiami@miamigov.com to inquire about the donation process.
